For Immediate Release
PRISM Selected as the Foundation for the US Postal Service’s Contract Authoring & Management System (CAMS) Dulles, VA – (June 1, 2004) The US Postal Service has made a major award to Compusearch to implement PRISM as the Postal Service’s new approach to contract authoring and management. Code named CAMS, the system will support 350 Postal contract management users. Key to the selection was the well established presence of the PRISM application in the marketplace, including a solid past performance record for both the PRISM application and Compusearch as a company. PRISM’s flexible design and standard API’s provided the ease of integration required by the Postal Service. Requisitions developed in the Postal Service’s eBuy Requisitioning system will automatically transition into the new PRISM system where the Postal Services contract management team will initiate and manage the acquisitions. In addition, data will be directly extracted from PRISM to the USPS Electronic Data Warehouse. In addition to providing software and installation support, Compusearch will train all 350 new users. Subcontractors, IBM and BearingPoint, will provide additional support for this implementation. Rollout of the complete system is scheduled for October 2004. About PRISM PRISM is a comprehensive e-procurement solution that offers full procurement life-cycle support from advanced acquisition planning through closeout within a single web-based application.
