Dulles, VA, July 14, 2009- Compusearch today announced that more than 15,000 government contractors are using FedConnect®, the eRFX portal for business and funding opportunities. Designed to complement and extend both FedBizOpps and Grants.gov, the FedConnect® vendor portal (www.fedconnect.net) is centrally-hosted, operated and managed as a cloud computing offering by Compusearch Software Systems, Inc. FedConnect® efficiently links the universe of prospective suppliers with the Federal Government's buyers and the solicitations they manage. Facilitating the transparency of the procurement process is vitally important at a time when the Federal Government is attempting to stimulate the economy through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. There is no cost to vendors to register and use the core bid response capabilities offered through FedConnect®.

The rapid rise in the number of vendors registered on FedConnect® directly corresponds to the growth in postings of business and funding opportunities, in terms of total numbers, opportunity types, and program offices represented. The Cabinet Departments now working business opportunities through the portal are Homeland Security, the Department of the Interior, and the Department of Energy.

Commitments to use FedConnect® have been received from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). FedConnect® supports secure, bi-directional, auditable communications between the Government's buyers and the supplier and grantee community, throughout the entire acquisition lifecycle, i.e. preaward, through award and finally post-award. For procurement and grants organizations FedConnect® makes possible the paperless office. Responses to RFI's, RFP's, and RFQ's are submitted electronically for accelerated evaluation and award. By visiting one website an interested party can search for current opportunities across all the participating government agencies. Through FedConnect®, offerors are able to acknowledge interest in opportunities, ask questions, submit quotations and proposals, and view award notices.

"Having more than 15,000 vendors working through FedConnect® for new business opportunities", said Reid Jackson, demonstrates the power of using a hosted, cloud computing environment successfully bringing transparency and accountability into the bidding and grant application process President, Compusearch Software Systems, Inc. "More than 500 new suppliers register every week," which is a tremendous rate of adoption increasing the network value to Federal Agencies.
