iPRISM Overview Compusearch iPRISM is a new addition to the PRISM-Suite and is designed for infrequent users in the program offices. The iPRISM system provides step-by-step guidance through the most common requesting and ordering activities. Based on the industry standard “shopping cart” experience utilized by virtually every buying site on the Web, this buying experience is intuitive to infrequent users, which drives adoption and satisfaction.
The iPRISM system works in conjunction with PRISM-Procurement to provide users with an easy-to-use module while still retaining the robust purchasing control of PRISM at the agency level. In addition, the iPRISM system provides on-line, real-time, easy-to-order access to agency-specific IDIQs. This gives iPRISM users the ability to select goods from a catalog of IDIQs that are contained within the same PRISM system in which the IDIQs are created and managed. Additional catalogs will be available soon through a “punch out” to GSA Advantage. The simplified Web-shopping interface design of iPRISM will be familiar to most computer/ internet users and will help all agency users create paperless procurements; iPRISM also offers users the benefits of self-registration capability, requires no formal training, and will be available on a non-seat based license.
